Hey there! I’m Arlyta, the heart and soul behind My Little Elephant. It brings be so much joy to have you here!
My journey with MLE began as a whisper of a dream - a dream tucked away amidst the hustle of my daily office job and the beautiful chaos of motherhood to my two precious girls. But dreams have a way of nudging us until we listen, and so, with a leap of faith, My Little Elephant came to life.
Why rattan, you ask? Well, it's simple. I've always been drawn to eco-friendly products, and there's something magical about the warmth and beauty of natural rattan. Being born and raised in Indonesia until the age of 14, rattan is more than just a material to me; it's a connection to my roots, a way of keeping my Indonesian identity alive even as I now call the Netherlands home.
Each piece in our collection tells a story close to my heart, reflecting our core values. Sourced sustainably from Indonesia, our rattan pieces are handcrafted with love by skilled artisans. And because caring for our planet is a personal commitment, we extend this love to our packaging, using earth-friendly materials to reduce our impact on the environment.
Being a mom, I know how important it is to have toys that last through rough play. While some rattan toys might need a little extra care, they're tough enough for any adventure.
